Near Field Communication may be included in future BlackBerry models

In a statement issued by Assa Abloy AB, the world's leading lock group, they are in talks with RIM to incorporate NFC Technology in BlackBerry® Bold^TM and Curve^TM 2012 model* smartphones. 

NFC - Near Field Communication is  key-card technology that would allow the user to swipe their phone to lock and unlock doors instead of using access cards.
